We re-launch our blog today with news of an exciting partnership – Seeds of Africa has been selected as a client in Wagner's NYU Capstone program.

"Capstone is learning in action. Part of the core curriculum of the Masters program at NYU Wagner, it provides students with both a critical learning experience and an opportunity to perform a public service. Over the course of an academic year, students work in teams—either to address challenges and identify opportunities for a client organization or to conduct research on a pressing social question. Ultimately, Capstone contributes not only to the students' education, but also to the public good."

Specifically a team of 4 master's students will be studying the effectiveness of the Seeding Education enrichment and community development programs. Three of the questions we've asked the team to address are:

  1. What are the effects of the Seeding Education program on the academic growth of Seeds of Africa students?
  2. How can the Seeding Education program be improved to maximize beneficial educational impact?
  3. What are the effects of Seeds of Africa's program on students' lives, as well as the lives of their families and communities?

After completing extensive research our Team will be traveling to Ethiopia to witness and study the program in action. Key learnings and insights will be delivered in May.  Akua, Harshi, Precious, and Tupochele – We are thrilled to have you on our team, and can't wait to learn more about your findings.
